Brent Calvert Medical Relief

Please keep the Calvert family in your thoughts and prayers. I’m setting this go fund me up on my Aunts’ behalf, Dianne Calvert. My uncle, Brent started off with cramping in his leg at 4 am Friday morning, got out of bed and drank pickle juice in hopes it would go away. He went back to bed and later that morning when he tried to get out of bed to stand, he fell over. He was taken to the hospital in Greenwood by ambulance then airlifted to Prisma Hospital in Greenville Friday morning. He has been in the hospital since with a blood clot in his brain and they are unsure of when he will be discharged to go home. The blood clot led to a stroke with left side paralysis of the body. He is currently still in the Neuro ICU in critical condition. He will leave the hospital and need several weeks to months of rehab to regain his strength and movements. They have performed two surgeries so far in hopes of allowing better blood flow to the brain. The last MRI and CT scan did not show adequate blood flow the doctors were hoping for. If you know my Uncle he would do anything for his friends and family. He’s always been there at a drop of a hat. He’s touched so many lives teaching and coaching throughout his career. Any support to help cover medical costs, gas and food is much appreciated as the road to recovery is a challenging one ahead and he will be out of work for the foreseeable future. This is an uncharted territory for his wife, daughter and son and they are navigating as best as possible.
