Brent has come down with Influenza A virus-H1N1. He is battling for his life and currently on ECMO machines which take the place of his lungs. Brent is in the ICU unit at Stanford Hospital and is in critical condition. We continue to pray for his recovery, but this will be a long battle in the hospital.
Family and friends have kept a vigil at his bedside since arriving at Stanford on January 11.
We are raising money for Brent and his family/friends who might need assistance while Brent fights this battle. Brent's medical insurance is covering his medical expenses, however, this fund will be devoted to providing assistance for other costs typically associated with long hospital stays. This can include things like travel expenses for family and friends, cost to eat at the hospital, or nearby, parking at the hospital, legal expenses, and other expenses.
The love and support for Brent has been overwhelming. His family especially appreciates everyone's love and kindness. We thank you for any support you might be able to provide.
