Brent and Casey Jo Powelson

Hi, my name is Kellie, and I am fundraising for Brent and Casey Powelson. Early morning Sunday, May 8th Brent awoke unable to move. He called for help, and Casey called 911. For those that may not know, Brent has a condition called Guillian Barre's. Brent had been sick with COVID causing his pre-existing condition to come on rapidly. This condition can go into remission but is never gone.

Brent is currently in the ICU receiving IV treatments to address the autoimmune response on his nervous system. These conditions have weakened his body, and he cannot receive treatments for both simultaneously.

During this time, neither Brent nor Casey can work. This fundraiser is to help cover the costs incurred during this time and basic living expenses.

It is unknown when Brent's movement will fully return, but Casey said she had seen a slight improvement over the past few days.

They are optimistic about his recovery but it will take time.
