Hi, I’m Brenna — thank you for taking a moment to read this.
I have received a life-changing medical/mental health treatment that is finally offering some real relief and healing; Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
There's no real “face” to mental illness, but you might have never guessed I am one of them. I even strongly considered leaving out what my treatment is for because of the stigma and what potential backlash there might be. But I don't want to contribute to the stigma of mental illness, I want to honor its existence - no matter how cruel it can be.
I've been in a constant battle with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and SI for at least the past 10 years on and off - but more on than I wish to admit. This has impacted every facet of my life. With 5 treatments completed I stand stronger and firmer in my commitment to growth and healing.
Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by insurance, and the costs are overwhelming. It’s something I can’t do alone. So here I am, asking for support from friends, family, and strangers because we are stronger together. I hope this outreach does more than just help me finance my treatment, though. I hope it offers a sense of not being alone - I see you and I believe you and I know how hard those darkest days can be and how hopeless it can all feel.
I've completed 5 treatment sessions that have helped me transform and crack open to provide lasting deep healing, not just symptom relief. This treatment is very expensive, but I would do it all over again for double the price knowing how transformative it has been for me thus far. My healing is just beginning, but now there's real hope and I can't put a price tag on that. I don't know your story, I am only an expert of mine, but if this message resonates with you due to your personal experience with mental illness or from supporting a friend or loved one who is struggling, know that my heart aches for you and we need each other for support.
If you'd like to be a part of my story and are able to donate, know that every dollar truly makes a difference — no amount is too small. The donations are helping fund the Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy treatment sessions and the integrative therapy sessions. If donating isn’t possible right now (I completely understand — times are tough), please consider sharing this with someone who might be able to help: a friend, coworker, teammate, club member, family member, church group, or neighbor.
Thank you for helping out a fellow human. Your kindness and support will not go unnoticed — and definitely won’t go in vain.
