If you know Brennan, you're probably more likely to hear him singing than talking.
To some of you, he's Monarch, and you’ve followed his music and his vocals have impacted your life.
Or maybe you've seen him sing live at your church, helping you to feel closer to God.
To me, he's just Brennan, making me smile by singing golden age musical theatre.
Right now, due to a medical emergency that lead to 2 ambulance rides and a 5 day stint in the hospital, Brennan is unable to continue his life as an indie artist. His recovery requires him to rest and not exert too much energy, which as a working musician means he has no way to make an income to pay his medical bills. He needs our help.
This story starts about ten years ago, when Brennan was on tour with his band leaving SXSW (a popular music festival in Austin, TX). His tour van crashed and crushed his foot, and over the years that injury caused scoliosis, arthritis, and crippling back pain, to the point where this past year he was in and out of the hospital numerous times.
So when he started to feel unwell last week, he thought maybe it was something to do with his back injuries. Except this seemed much worse. He was rushed to the hospital where numerous tests were done to figure out what was causing his illness. Currently his diagnosis is Colitis, and he is on about 10 different medications to help his body fight off infections. There are medications he will need to stay on for the rest of his life.

As an artist, Brennan doesn't have medical insurance. That means all these ambulance rides and trips to the hospital are paid for out of his own pocket. It's difficult to sing and create music when your whole life has become trying to stay afloat amidst overwhelming medical bills.
The funds raised here will be used to help Brennan pay the mountain of bills that he is now left with as a result of his illness and injuries to take the pressure off while he heals. Anything we can do to help ease the burden will only help him recover faster and take some of the stress of having to pay out of pocket for his medication due to the complicated American healthcare.
I'm doing this for Brennan because I know he would do the same for me. We couldn't come from more drastically different upbringings, and yet Brennan is one of the few people in my life who makes me feel understood without judgment.
If you've been impacted by Brennan's music over the years, or if he's had any positive influence in your life, please consider donating to help Brennan get back to doing what he loves most: creating music for all of you.
