Brennan Gumeniski's Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Brennan Charles Gumeniski was a 16 year old young man and a sophomore at Oley Valley High School who was tragically killed in a single car accident around midnight on May 29th.  Money raised through this fund, will be used by the family to support, honor, and celebrate all of the ways Brennan touched his community.  One of Brennan's favorite slogans was "Go Big or Go Home" and that's what we are going to do with his legacy.

In order for you to understand Brennan's true spirit, below is a tribute written by his mother.

Brennan Charles Gumeniski in his 16 years with us, accomplished more then most do in a lifetime, overcame more obstacles than most will ever have to know. His legacy will never die but instead live on through each and every life he influenced in such magnificent ways. To know Brennan was to love Brennan. He was a glimmer of hope, he seemed to make the world a better place, he made everyone whom knew him a better person for knowing him. He lit up the room with warmth, hope, love and pure contagious joy. Brennan was an exceptional son and even more incredible brother. He was the very best, truest and most genuine friend I have ever met in my life. He loved fiercely and without limits. In our community, he was a pillar of everything good and right in this world. His spirit was one that brought light where there previous was none. A heart of pure gold, he had. His fight, bravery and courage were second to none. I know, without any doubts, that Brennan would want us all to focus on the bright life he lived to the absolute fullest and not the bright future that we can not understand why it is now gone. I can not even begin to understand this, but I know that Brennan would remind me that God’s plan is bigger than mine and to trust it. He would tell us all to stop searching for reasons why, stop searching for answers and to instead live each day to the fullest as he did in his honor and memory keeping his legacy alive. Brennan would want us to heal and for only good things to come out of this wretched heartache. He would want his legacy to be that of who he was, what was in his heart and exactly how he lived life – to the absolute fullest! Brennan’s work ethic was impeccable; no matter what arena it was in, there was nobody that worked harder than him. Brennan’s personality was the warmest, strongest and most inspiring that most have ever encountered. I do not know why Brennan’s life was a short 16 years but I am confident that what he packed into those 16 years was miraculous and will continue to inspire others for as long as we keep his legacy alive which is what he would want us to focus on. My hope is that we each carry him in our hearts and every day do something Brennan would do and I am certain it will continue to make the world a better place just like he always did.
