Brendon's Battle on Cancer!!

My name is Casey Simoni and I am reaching out to y'all to help out our brother and his family.

Brendon Luebbers is an AFEO on engine 316 stationed at Frenchman Lake,Beckwourth Ranger District, Plumas National Forest. Brendon has been part of the Beckwourth Fire Family his whole career since 2021, moving here from Colorado Springs to work in region 5. It's safe to say we knew Brendon was Beckwourth Family before he did.

3 days ago Brendon hurt his leg at work and had blurred vision so he went to the hospital in Reno. Upon his arrival he was diagnosed with an extreme case of Lukemia and not a very positive timeline for his survival.

After 3 days of platelets and amazing medical treatment Brendons white blood cell count has decreased and the oncologist is comfortable discussing treatment for him now.

The plan at this time for Brendon is 6 months of INTENSIVE chemo treatments and an additional 30 months of milder treatment. THIS IS ACTUALLY GREAT NEWS as Brendon initially was told much harsher news.

Some things Brendon is gonna be looking at in the direct future are moving out of his current house in the next 2 weeks as the lease is up. Acquiring storage for the next 6 months as he is unable to live alone during this time. And buttoning up any final bills from brendons previous residence that may affect his credit. Brendon's parents live in Colorado Springs and will most likely make several trips back and forth to be with Brendon for these treatments. Brandon's brother is also in fire suppression and will need to help his brother the next 6 months as well. He lives here in reno as well and may potentially need to close some financial gaps during this process as well.
