Brenden and his family through his medical recovery.

Hello! My name is Stephanie. I am starting this fundraiser for my brother, Brenden, his wife, Kaitlyn and their 3 kids.

Unfortunately on a recent vacation in drumheller, Brenden was hiking and hurt his knee. When Brenden got in to see the specialist he was told he would need surgery. Within a week of seeing the specialist, Brenden, Kaitlyn and the kids traveled to Calgary once for an ultrasound, red deer 4 times for various appointments, xrays, mri and the surgery was in Red Deer as well, on their oldest's birthday. Brenden is now hardly able to use his leg. He is in a brace that keeps his leg completely straight and cannot even lift his leg. The doctors expect the recovery for the surgery he needed will take 6 months minimum.

Brenden is the one who has provided for their family while Kaitlyn stayed home to raise the kids, but now that he is injured, they have hardly any income. He was able to get short term disability through his benefits, but they only cover a quarter of the household bills. Kaitlyn is currently looking for a job, but job hunting takes time as well as the fact that she is the main caretaker for not only the kids, but also Brenden at the moment while he is recovering. When she gets a job she will then have to find someone to watch the kids while she is working.

By starting this fundraiser for them, I am really hoping to lift some of the stress off of their shoulders so they they can all focus on recovery and getting back to their normal. If you can help at all, I know that they would be eternally greatful for any and all help, but if you can't contribute to the fundraiser, sharing it to get the word out would also be a huge help.
