Brenda needs knee replacement surgery, and we are seeking help to cover the medical costs.

Her knee replacement will be more complicated than a regular knee replacement due to severe fractures of the bones in this area and because of past infections in the knee. She will also need a minimum of 6 weeks of intense physical therapy following the procedure itself.

Brenda injured her knee 2 years ago when stacked lumber fell on top of her, and after a thorough medical evaluation, doctors determined that knee replacement surgery is no longer optional, but is necessary. Without it, she will not be able to walk normally again.

Brenda and her husband are the pastors of a small church on a tiny island. They have always been there to help and support their community, but now they need your help.

The surgery itself is only part of the challenge. The total cost includes medical tests, hospital care, surgery fees, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and medications. These expenses go far beyond what Brenda and her family can manage alone, especially after already paying for 2 years of medical expenses associated with this injury.

Brenda has always been someone who stays strong and keeps moving forward, but after her accident, she has undergone 2 surgeries on her knee, suffered complications due to infections setting in, and has had to spend months in a wheelchair. In the past year and a half, walking, standing, and even resting without pain have become increasingly difficult, greatly affecting her independence and quality of life.

She has been having to walk with a cane for the past year. It is a challenge to go up and down stairs because she cannot bend her leg.

Brenda is scheduled for pre-surgery testing on January 26th, and if all goes as planned, on January 28 she will have the surgery.
