Brenda's fight to kick cancers ass!

Donation protected
This holiday season my mother Brenda received the news no one ever wants to hear after a routine mammogram.... She was diagnosed with an aggressive and rapid growing stage 3 metastatic breast cancer that will require extensive chemotherapy, radiation, and several surgeries. My mom is being so positive and reassuring to my brothers and I that everything will be okay.

For those who don't know my mom; she drops everything to help those in need and asks nothing in return. In January of 2020 after I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that left me with paralysis and needing lots of PT/OT/ST to regain functions again she dropped everything to take care of me and Espyn and provide support for Michael. She moved in to take care of Espyn and I because I was physically unable to do so. She did our bathing, dressing, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, driving me to all of my doctor appointments, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy sessions - which wasn't an easy task getting the wheelchair and walker in and out of the trunk everywhere. On Michael's days off she would drive the just shy of 3 hours back up north stopping at the grocery store on her way home to get things to make my dad meals he could heat up while she was with us, spend a day with my dad, do their household things, and make the almost 3 hour drive back to my house before Michael left for work. She did this for me and my family that whole very ruff year.

My parents have never asked for help and will likely be upset with me for doing this for them because they are selfless, hard working, and feel that there are others more in need. But I am asking as a daughter who wants kicking cancers ass to be the only thing my mom will have to concern herself with. My parents live 60 miles from my mom's doctors and treatment facilities. With doctors, specialists, imaging studies, lab work, chemotherapy, radiation, and procedures she is driving 120 miles round trip 2 to 3 days a week. Your support will help offset travel expenses and additional car maintenance, supply N95/N99 masks for her and my dad to ensure the best possible defense against viruses as my mom's immune system will be wiped out and not able to fight off even the simplest of colds, medication co-pays, keep my dad fed so my mom doesn't have to worry about grocery shopping and cooking, and anything else that might arise not foreseen.

Support can come in so many ways and I appreciate everyone's positivity and prayers. Also if I could ask those that see and know my mom to please not call/text her with thoughts and prayers as I want her engery focused on whipping this cancers butt. I know she would not want to be treated any differently also. I encourage everyone to leave there kind words and encouragement on this feed so she can read them.
