Help me grant Brenda Blair’s last wish

Meet Brenda Blair, wife of Donnie Blair, mother of three and Grandma to 4 soon to be 5 grandchildren and my dearest friend.

Brenda was diagnosed in January 2016 with colorectal cancer.  Since that time she has had several surgeries, what seems like constant chemotherapy and just about every side effect from treatment.  She has waged a tough battle.  She has endured the pain and side effects of the treatments.  I have never once heard her feeling sorry for herself or give up in any way.  She’s  never asked for help, even when she could no longer.

Unfortunately, remission is not in the cards for Brenda.  Recently,  Brenda was informed that her liver is now full of disease as well as other areas of her body.   The doctors have told Brenda that she has maybe five or six months to live.  She is determined to live as long as possible but also knows there is a limit.

Brenda has asked for prayers and  for support from her friends and family as she continues to face the future with grace.

The  only “bucket” list item Brenda wished for,  is to live the remainder of her life at home surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.  In order to fulfill this wish, the front porch to the Blair home needs to be replaced.   The current structure has separated from the house, the posts have rotted and it is not safe.  

For Brenda to live out her remaining days at home, the porch must be replaced.  Soon the front door will become Brenda’s only entry and exit from the home.  Without this replacement , Brenda will eventuality have to transfer to a hospice care center.  With The pandemic this could cut her off from those she loves and depends on for support and strength.  Winter freeze is coming and this replacement needs to happen very soon.

While preparing this page, it has come to my attention, that the furnace to the Blair home stopped working and now needs to be replaced.  I am asking for $10,000 to replace the porch and to help replace the furnace.  Any funds left over will be used to off set funeral expenses for Brenda.

Please help me grant Brenda’s final wish.
