Brendan Woods Memorial Award for Creativity (2025)
Donation protected
We are once again soliciting donations for the Brendan Woods Memorial Award for Creativity, an award (with scholarship money) established in 2017 and presented annually to a Duxbury High School Senior who captures the spirit of Brendan and his qualities that we all knew and loved. The award is given to a student selected by the DHS guidance department who:
- exhibits creativity, individuality, and originality, particularly in one or more of the following disciplines: music, creative writing, fashion, and/or visual or dramatic arts (not necessarily recognized for achievement by grades or other standard criteria, but who exhibits talent/passion); and
- is a free spirit who brings fellow students together through humor, and inspires others to think outside the box.
The award is presented by Brendan's parents, Steve and Patti Woods at the annual Senior Awards Night. Please donate by June 3, 2025.
Last year we raised $3,000, our best year since launching the scholarship in 2017. Thanks to all who donated! We know there are many opportunities to support communities locally and globally at this time, and we hope that we can come together and support the students once more and recognize a member of this class who reminds us of our dear friend. Please feel free to share this link on social media.
Thanks again for your support.
