My name is Mitch Etkin, and I am spearheading a fundraising campaign for the establishment of the Brendan Mahatoo Robson Hall Law Scholarship. Tragically, on May 29th 2023, we unexpectedly lost Brendan, whose unwavering dedication to the field of law serves as the inspiration behind this initiative. The scholarship aims to support aspiring students entering their first year of Law studies at the University of Manitoba.

Brendan's lifelong passion for law started at a young age, and he cherished the moment he received early acceptance into law school as one of the highlights of his life. Despite enduring a series of profound hardships, including the untimely loss of his father and battling through critical surgeries and health issues, Brendan confronted these obstacles with resilience and determination. His journey was marked by an unwavering determination to overcome adversity, and he emerged triumphant, carving a path for himself.

Brendan's accomplishments as a lawyer brought him immense pride, making it only fitting that we commemorate his memory through this scholarship.
