Brenda Kitchka Scholarship Fund

On October 11th, I will be participating in the Chicago Marathon to honor my Auntie Brenda who recently passed away. I am raising money for the Brenda Kitchka Textbook Scholarship Fund at her Alma Mater, Garrett Evengelical Theological Seminary. Brenda received a few of these surprise textbook scholarships while in school and was thrilled by them! Brenda's daughters, Jenni and Missy, think it is the best way to give back and remember their mom. Although it will be a challenge for me to complete this race, I will be especially motivated by the excitement of knowing that it will be for the memory of such a fabulous person.

I am asking friends and family to consider sponsoring me for this event. I have two ambitious goals – first to complete the race without sustaining any bodily harm and second to meet my personal goal to raise $1000. I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation toward this goal. A suggested donation amount is $26.20, which comes out to $1/mile for the 26.2 mile distance of the marathon . However, any amount raised will be a wonderful way to remember Brenda.
