Hello friends & family!
As many of you may know I’d been given the amazing opportunity to study at Columbia University for grad school. I’m excited to share that for my final spring semester I have been accepted into a course that includes a study abroad trip. I will be traveling in March 2020 to Chile with my class to learn more about Chilean history and the development of social work in Chile. What better time than now to visit a country that is in need of social workers! Learning first-hand about the development of social work in another country and having the chance to speak to Chilean natives will not only enhance my studies but will significantly alter the trajectory of my career, as I hope to pursue international social work upon graduation. Currently, I do not have the funds to pay the full cost of this trip as I go to school full-time and work part-time. I intend on covering the deposit & expenses on the 9-day trip but need your help securing my flight, room, and travel insurance.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, soy bendecida porque tengo el privilegio de estudiar en la Universidad de Columbia. Estoy emocionada de compartir que para mi último semestre de primavera he sido aceptada en un curso que incluye un viaje de estudios al extranjero. Viajaré en Marzo de 2020 a Chile con mi clase para aprender más sobre la historia Chilena y el desarrollo del trabajo social en Chile. ¡Qué mejor momento que ahora para visitar un país que necesita trabajadores sociales! Aprenderé de primera mano sobre el desarrollo del trabajo social en otro país y tener la oportunidad de hablar con nativos chilenos. Esta oportunidad no solo mejorará mis estudios sino que también alterará significativamente la trayectoria de mi carrera, ya que espero seguir trabajando en el trabajo social internacional al graduarme. Actualmente, no tengo los fondos para pagar el costo total de este viaje. Soy estudiante a tiempo completo y trabajo a tiempo parcial. Tengo la intención de cubrir el depósito y los gastos en el viaje de 9 días, pero necesito su ayuda para asegurar mi vuelo, habitación y seguro de viaje.
