Hello, my name is Brenda Minor and I need your blessings, prayers, and support. I live alone with my little dog who loves me unconditionally. I was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over the Christmas Holiday. On January 7th my port was implanted for my chemotherapy treatments that I will be receiving over the next several months. After the chemotherapy, I will have extensive surgery to remove parts of my pancreas, liver, and stomach followed by 10 days in the hospital and 3-4 months of recovery. I will not be able to work during this time. The cost of the treatments and medications will be financially consuming’ and though I have medical insurance, I will be left with overwhelming out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. For example, I will have to pay $800 for each chemo treatment after insurance, which will begin on January 11th.
