Help Honor the Life of Brenda Linkenhoker

On September 5th, 2025, our beloved mother, Brenda Linkenhoker (formerly Brenda Brewster), passed away at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She fought with unwavering grace and strength, supported every step of the way by her two children, Shaun and Stephanie Surgener, as she received care at Vanderbilt Medical Facility.

For the past year and a half, Brenda lived with us, surrounded by love, laughter, and family moments we will forever cherish. She taught us resilience, compassion, and faith even in the hardest of times.

We will be celebrating her life on Saturday, September 27th with a 9:00 a.m. visitation followed by a 10:00 a.m. service.

Why We’re Asking for Support

Brenda’s final wishes were for a cremation and a simple but meaningful memorial. Rather than flowers, we are asking friends, family, and loved ones to contribute to help cover:

• Funeral and cremation expenses

• Memorial service costs

• Catering and food for family and guests gathering to honor her life

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to ease the financial burden during this difficult time and ensure that we can celebrate Brenda’s life in the way she deserves.
