Brenda Jones Fundraiser
Donation protected
Brenda is a 78 year old mother, grandmother, and wife of 53 years, who is a retired High School Teacher. She has been active in her church, leading the Comfort Crew who makes and distributes blankets and shawls for church members who have medical conditions or injuries. She was an active crocheter, and delivered many of the items herself. She is a good Christian woman.
Brenda's life was turned upside down when she fell from the steps into her garage loft, on April 12th, 2023, and suffered a cervical spine injury. She has some use of her arms, but not her hands, and she has no motion or sensation from her chest to her feet. Her rehabilitation has recently been interrupted by an infection, that affected her consciousness and lowered her heart rate, but she is making slow daily progress, and hopes to transfer back to rehab this week. The long-term prognosis seems grim. Life will never return to "normal" for Brenda, and she faces limited mobility, and constant care by her family. Many modifications to her home will be necessary, to prepare for her return home to her family. She and her husband are both retired civil servants - her husband has volunteered his time for many decadea as a Paramedic and Chaplin in the Hanover community. They are not prepared for the upcoming expenses.
