Hi, my name is Frank Assu, and we are fundraising in memory of my Mom Brenda Assu. She passed away on March 13, 2023.

Brenda was an amazing, kind, loving, and inspiring woman. She was a mom to two children, five grandchildren, one great grand-daughter, and another great grand-child on the way. She was married to her husband Bill Assu for 52 years.

Brenda spent 26 years as an Indigenous Education Assistant at Quadra Island Elementary School.

In her honour, the family is raising funds to donate a bench for the school, and a plaque for the bench as well as for her "Frog" room door. The "Frog" is her family clan, and the door to her old room has a frog on it. We want to add a plaque for the door.
