Hello, we are Brenda and Travis. We are swallowing our pride and asking for help. The past year has seen us have issues with medical and transportation that caused us to seek help from a predatory payday lender. We have been trying to pay it off, but even with both of us working the interest keeps growing to where we can't pay other necessities. If the payday loan was resolved, then we would be able to get other bills paid.

We feel like this is our only solution. This situation is dragging us down emotionally and causing us to both struggle emotionally.

(From January '23 to late September '23, we were without a vehicle and had to use Uber and Lyft to get to and from doctor appointments. We had to make multiple trips per week and that caused us to get behind on rent and other bills, because those services are not cheap.

We're not asking for help because we're lazy, we both work but there's no way for us to make it without some outside help.)

[3/17/24 Update]

We're going to need to find temporary housing due to water damage in the floor and walls. We weren't aware of a leak, but the floor in the bathroom has started falling apart and the surrounding floor has been sinking. To repair this we're going to have to move out for the floor, and possibly walls, to be replaced.
