Bree's Raise the Roof Fund

Hi, My name is Shabree (Poetic Bree), this is difficult for me but necessary. I believe it takes a village, but your village won't know to help, if you never say you need it. So this is me humbly asking for help. I'm a 40 year old single woman living in Michigan, in my first home. I must admit as a first time homeowner I have neglected the major things like the roof and now it can't be ignored any longer.

I know you're wondering why don't I get help from the state or get a loan, so let me explain the whole situation. The programs that the state offers require a disability which I haven't been cleared for yet or you must be 65 or older, or the sign up is now but the work isn't until next year. With the damage I have in my home next year is too far away. I can't take out a loan because I don't have income currently so I don't want to risk defaulting on a loan.

I work at an elementary school as a special education one on one para but I'm currently on disability leave because I have Panic Anxiety Syndrome. Due to my PAS I've been unable to function in my normal work and social life. My attacks present physically. I lose the ability to use my right arm, I get an extreme stutter, sweats, tremmors, increased heart rate, tears, and in most cases my whole body locks and I have to have someone sit on me or apply pressure to my body to help me calm down. I have a sensory vest and weighted blanket to help because I also have these attacks in my sleep. I was asked to take some time off work to adjust to my new meds which is why I'm out on leave. That was in July. Over the last 18weeks I've had attacks every week. I've been waiting on my insurance company for my short term disability but my case is still pending, so unfortunately I haven't had a check since the end of July.

Now you're wondering why so much. Well the roof has a hole in it. Yes I've tarped it several times but now the current tarp has a hole in it which caused water to leak into the master bedroom, second bedroom and kitchen ceilings. The master bedroom was leaking so bad that the ceiling has completely fallen onto the floor. And the other parts of the master ceiling is still leaking as it continues to rain. So my bed and mattress is completely wet with rain and molded drywall from the attic. The floors are wet and have caused my bed to be warped. Plus the walls are peeling due to the moisture. So the money will go towards the wood for the roof, the shingles and labor for the company that I hire, plus the replacement of the master ceiling, and the second bedroom and kitchen ceiling touch ups. I also will get paint, supplies and all things needed to redo my bedroom.

I'm not asking you to break your bank but a little help goes a long way. So I'm asking... Help me, Please. No amount is to small... please share this because you never know who may see this and God may moves them to assist me as well.
