Hi my name is Kayla and I’m trying to help fundraising for a beautiful friend please help Bree Access Life-Changing Mental Health Treatment
Bree is a vibrant 28-year-old from Horsham, Victoria — someone whose smile and energy light up every room she enters. But behind that warm smile is a young woman who has been quietly fighting a long and difficult battle with both physical and mental health challenges.
We’ve started this GoFundMe to help Bree access vital mental health treatment that isn’t currently covered by Medicare. These therapies, which total around $2,000, are essential for Bree to begin healing and reclaim her life.
Bree’s journey has been anything but easy. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just 7 years old, she has spent her life managing the emotional and financial toll of this chronic illness — including insulin pump therapy, private health insurance, and countless specialist appointments.
In 2020, Bree was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis — a condition that leaves her in daily, debilitating pain. Since then, she has endured multiple surgeries, pain management trials, two heartbreaking miscarriages, and continues to await treatment at the Mercy Women's Hospital in Melbourne — a final hope after being told there may be no further medical options.
Throughout all of this, Bree has also struggled with mental health challenges. From the age of 4 or 5, she was treated for anxiety and depression. Despite years of trying various medications, counselling, and therapies, nothing has truly helped calm her constantly racing mind.
Recently, she’s been connected with an incredible mental health team working to explore a possible ADHD diagnosis, along with other underlying conditions. This new path offers real hope — but it comes at a high cost. With her ongoing physical health needs and the rising costs of everyday living, funding this treatment on her own simply isn’t possible.
Bree has courageously shared her journey on social media, openly speaking about her health struggles in the hope of helping others. Now, she needs our help.
Every donation — big or small — will go directly towards Bree’s mental health care. With your support, we hope to get Bree the help she needs to rediscover the bright, bubbly, and joyful person we all know and love.
Thank you for taking the time to read Bree’s story and for supporting her in any way you can.
