Many thanks for visiting this page. My name is Sgt Jim Thwaite, currently serving as directing staff within Pegasus Company (Pre PARA Selection). The aim of this event is to raise the maximum amount of money for a little girl called Rosie, age 2. Rosie's father Ryan Spence is a fellow Paratrooper serving in 3 PARA.

 

Rosie was diagnosed with a rare form of very aggressive cancer known as ATRT (Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumour) in May 2021. This is a stage 4  cancer with a 32.2% survival rate amongst 5 year olds, Rosie is 2. Rosie has undergone chemotherapy but unfortunatley has relapsed 7 weeks after this treatment. Rosie and her families last option is for her to undergo clinical trials in the USA as this treatment is not supported by the NHS. This period of time has been extremely stressful for Rosie and her family and they require our help immediatley.

 

BRECON 10 PEAKS CHALLENGE

 

On the 13th April 2022, myself and members of Pegasus Company will be conducting a march carrying 40lbs bergans (rucksacks) over 10 of the highest peaks in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. We will be going best effort as a team, with a cut off time of 24hrs over a distance of 55 miles.

 

The 10 peaks we will tackle are;
