Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Hearts,
I am reaching out to you today with a heart full of both vulnerability and immense gratitude. My name is Brynn Coers, and I am writing on behalf of the love of my life, my husband Jesse Coers.
Jesse’s Journey
For years, Jesse has fought a quiet but exhausting battle against Alpha-1 emphysema. This condition, caused by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AATD), is a genetic struggle where the body lacks the necessary proteins to protect the lungs. For Jesse, this meant early and severe lung damage that eventually took away his ability to breathe on his own.
Despite the weight of this disease, Jesse has never stopped being the rock of our family. He is a devoted father, a loving son, a loyal brother, and the most incredible husband I could have ever asked for. He has fought for every breath with a grace that inspires everyone who knows him.
On January 8th, 2026, Jesse received the ultimate gift: a successful double lung transplant surgery. While we are overjoyed that he has been given this second chance at life, the road to full recovery is long, and the climb is steep.
How You Can Help
Now that Jesse has his new lungs, the real work of healing begins. The financial burden of a transplant is significant—ranging from specialized post-operative care and lifelong anti-rejection medications to the logistical costs of his long-term recovery.
We are asking for your support to help ease this financial strain so that Jesse’s only focus can be on breathing, healing, and coming home.
How your donation makes a difference:
- Assistance with mounting medical bills and specialized treatments.
- Coverage for essential post-transplant medications.
- Support for daily living expenses while Jesse is unable to work during his recovery.
A Note of Thanks
Whether you are able to donate the cost of a cup of coffee or simply share this page with your own community, please know that your kindness does not go unnoticed. You are not just donating to a medical fund; you are investing in Jesse’s future—in more birthdays, more milestones, and a lifetime of deep, easy breaths.
Thank you for standing with Jesse on his journey to recovery.
With love and hope,
Brynn
