Breathing Hope: Baby Jaxon’s Journey to Vitality!

Intro:
In a world that sometimes feels overwhelmingly uncertain, there is one thing that remains steadfast and unwavering: the love and determination of a family. I’m here to ask that we come together to extend our heartfelt support for Jaxon, a 5-month-old baby who is bravely fighting multiple respiratory conditions, including having just one healthy lung. This little warrior's journey has not been easy, and his family has faced tremendous challenges along the way. The emotional toll is immeasurable, and so are the financial burdens – from the time off work to the constant travel for medical care, and the mounting expenses that accompany such a critical health battle. We believe that no family should have to face this alone, and that's why Im asking for family and community to come together to make a difference.
Jaxon’s Story:
On April 18, 2023 Soundria was rushed into an emergency C-section procedure, allowing us to meet baby Jaxson earlier than expected. Being born premature, Jaxon immediately faced an uphill battle, but he's shown incredible strength and resilience.
His challenges include a diagnosis of Bronchial Atresia Hyperplasia Lung, which essentially means he has one fully developed lung and a lobe of the other. This condition is extremely rare, leaving Jason (Dad) and Soundria (Mom) searching for answers and solutions. Jaxon has undergone several procedures, revealing that he was aspirating, leading to multiple infections and days of needing oxygen and medical support.
Further examinations unveiled a Vascular Ring and Bronchial Esophagus Fistula, causing liquid from his feedings to leak into his lungs, even when switching to tube feeds. This resulted in numerous desaturation episodes and a rapid heart rate, creating terrifying situations for his parents. Despite these challenges, Jaxon remains a natural-born fighter, lighting up our hearts with smiles and babbles to his mom, dad, and big brother, Jaiden.
With the increasing frequency of infections, the question arose whether the removal of the affected lung lobe might be the best course of action. Jason and Soundria are now on a journey to find answers and clarity regarding the best next steps and the true nature of this condition. It's becoming a race against time, as the respiratory illness season approaches. Exploratory procedures are needed to gain more insight, but they come with risks and additional financial burdens for the family. With your generous support, Jaxon can have more time with both of his loving parents by his side and continue his inspiring fight for health.

As Jaxon's loving aunt, it is my honor to stand by my brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Soundria, as they navigate the challenges on this extraordinary journey.
