Breathing for Brenda

Hello, I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Brenda Wyskup. On January 5, 2023, Brenda learned that she had a lung mass and upon further testing and evaluation, she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma Cancer. She will have 12 chemotherapy treatments over the next three months and many more follow-up doctor visits and tests. Brenda’s condition is non-operable and will require a lifetime of medical treatment. Her medical insurance deductible is $4,000 and her paid leave is nearly depleted so she will no longer be receiving income and insurance benefits will end soon after.

Brenda is a strong, self-supportive woman; however, at this time, she needs financial support to pay for medical expenses, as well as day-to-day living expenses, including mortgage and utility payments.

Throughout the 47 years that Brenda has lived in Harrah, she has organized and participated in numerous community fundraisers for friends in need. She is kind, compassionate, positive, resilient, and always puts others before herself. That being said, Brenda is going through an unimaginable battle and can use everyone’s support.
