Breathing Backwards- Student film Fundraising

Hello everyone! My name is Hannah Zimmerman, I'm a student from College for Creative Studies. I'm currently working on a film for my senior thesis that is very personal to me and I'm honored to have the opportunity to bring my idea to life.

In the spring of 2022 my mother passed away and shortly after I wrote this film based on my experiences with grief and what I learned from watching the people around me grieve. Grief is a very real feeling and it's something almost everyone can relate to, even if we cope with it in different ways. As humans we sometimes struggle with having a conversation surrounding this subject and I want this film to help show people the importance of talking about our feelings in these times of hurt. I've been working very hard with my crew to make my vision a reality, but we need your help to get us to the finish line.

I am looking for donations to help support my amazing team of actors and crew members, as well as to afford resources like equipment, location, props, food and travel. Any amount is helpful no matter the size, and is greatly appreciated.

Film synopsis: Arlo, a young girl who recently lost her mother, is learning how to navigate her coping process. In an effort to help her along on her journey, she attends a group grief counseling meeting. She’s introduced to several other teens that force new perspectives on each other's grieving processes. The meeting helps her to reflect upon her own experiences as well as take the time to understand how other people cope with grief.
