Breathe By Chance DAFT Visa Renewal

Hello friends! You probably already know I am Chance. My hope is that this reaches all the wonderful humans I've crossed paths with across the world. I'm incredibly grateful for where life has brought me so far and all the love I've been able to share with so many communities. I'm now asking to receive support from anyone willing and able to give.

I moved to the Netherlands in 2023 and it has been one of the best decisions of my life! I was able to move here by setting up a DAFT (Dutch American Friendship Treaty) visa. It's a fairly simple process. All it requires is one to open a business here in Holland and make a deposit of €4,500 into that business bank account. The initial visa is valid for 2 years and then it can get renewed for another 5 years and so on as long as you continue to meet the requirements.

Over the past 2 years, I've been on a quite a journey. I became a certified breathwork facilitator, au paired for 2 different families, worked random jobs to make ends meet, all while slowly building a breathwork community and landing in a new country/culture.

Since January of this year I have stepped into my full time purpose. I landed a full time teaching position at Rocycle, the largest indoor cycling company in Europe. I've been a guide at an incredible mindful movement community called Sanctum for 1 year now. Most exciting, I'm finally starting to see things expanding within my own business Breathe By Chance! On top of that, I finally found a long term home in Utrecht after moving 7 times in less than 2 years!

I truly feel that I am where I'm meant to be and I'm in no rush to leave. This is where I could use your support. My DAFT visa is up for renewal in December of this year and in order to meet the requirements I need to have a minimum of €4,500 in my business bank account and prove that my business is profitable. I just recently started being profitable (woohoo!), but my business bank account has been depleted with all the unexpected life shifts and expenses that came with the changes.

I have no idea what the rest of this year will bring in terms of finances. All I know is I've set the intention to stay in Holland for the long term and I am creating this GoFundMe to put the call out and see what happens.

When people have asked me "what do you want to do?", I've always responded with "I want to help people." This is true and it has been reflected in my life's work thus far. From cleaning bikes, shoes and toilets at SoulCycle in California, to helping build the Studio One community from the ground up in New Hampshire. Au pairing with my first beautiful family in Huesca Spain to my last family in Friesland Holland. Every breathwork session, Sanctum experience and Rocycle class is channeled from a place of pure love and passion for what I do and the desire to GIVE and help others.
