Breast Cancer Awareness For My Mom

On May 23rd my mom had been diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). We were lucky to catch it early as it is the earliest form of breast cancer and has not spread. We still have things left to discuss with the doctor but my mom is thinking of getting a mastectomy. Her surgery is on July 3rd. The recovery time will take about 6 weeks which means she won't be able to work and can't get paid. This news was a shock to my whole family but we are trying to push forward and hope for the best.
