Breast Reduction Cost for Madi
Donation protected
Hi There!
My name is Madi, I'm a 25-year-old cartoonist and I've been dealing with ridiculously large breasts since my Freshman Year of high school. I went from a B cup to a D cup in less than a year when I was 16, and now at 25 I'm sitting at an F cup.
Not only has this come at a cost to me emotionally and financially (The clothes I want to wear always look extremely innappropriate and buying a bra that actually fits can cost over $60 dollars just for ONE bra) but they are also begining to take a toll on me physically as well. Back pain has been pretty much constant for as long as I can remember, there is some major skin irritation on my ribs from my bras, and recently the pain in my back has moved up to my neck.
I've tried almost every hollistic method I could think of to get them down to a more managable size, but they've only gotten bigger. I've tried changing my diet, losing weight, doing exercises that specifically targets the pectoral region, but nothing has worked. At this point the only way to reduce their size is to undergo a breast reduction surgery.
I've done a lot of research on the surgery and have already slotted a surgery date for Mid May. I've also talked to my insurance company and found out what this proceedure will cost me out-of-pocket. This total is 5K, and since I graduated relatively recently, I'm not going to be able to afford this without a little help.
I don't want to wait on this surgery any longer. Getting this surgery can get me my health back. I'm excited to be able to purchase clothes that fit me AND my personality, to be able to wear a bra that doesn't break the bank, and to be able to get back into the sports I enjoyed in my early high school years before going to the gym got awkward and painful.
ANY amount donated will help me get to that goal and ALL donations are appreciated.
I remember feeling a little lost when I was considering this proceedure and how important it was for me to find stories from other's who have undergone and recovered from the operation. As a thank you to anyone who donates, I'm going to be making a comic about my experience and sending them out in the mail after my recovery. If you want a copy sent to you, please donate non-anonymously and send me an email with your address. (Gofundme will give you the email info after you donate)
