Carlile's Top Surgery Recovery Fund

Hello gracious humans!
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read about and help me with my post-surgery recovery. Your kindness and consideration is invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for your support.
I'm Carlile. I'm 32 years old, from a small town outside of Ottawa, ON. I've been out as queer and non-binary since before I had the language to describe it (fact: Unicorns and Carlile's were made on the same day!). I have experienced gender dysphoria for much of my life and I have been binding my chest for about fifteen years now. It's a practice that has been gender-affirming for me and supported me in feeling more comfortable with my body and gender expression. This said, while binding has supported me in many ways, it has also taken a toll on my body over time. I experience ongoing nerve and muscular pain as a cumulative result of binding for so many years. With these health concerns and my emotional wellbeing in mind, I finally decided to start pursuing top surgery in 2017; a procedure that would mean I no longer need to bind my chest and which would give me even greater gender congruence.
After being on the wait-list for this procedure for almost three years (following a sudden cancellation, change of clinic, and rescheduling of my surgery in 2019), I am finally on the cusp of receiving this necessary procedure. I will have my surgery in early March, this 2020.
While I am incredibly fortunate to live in a province that can cover the costs of the surgery itself, the recovery for this type of procedure is lengthy and expensive. I have thankfully been able to negotiate an extended leave with my employer, by using the time off available to me; however, this will not help me cover the additional expenses that come with the aftermath of surgery. In addition to covering my usual expenses (ie: rent, bills, etc.), I need help with being able to purchase prescriptions, medical supplies and supports, clothing that can accommodate my limited mobility, additional food, last minute expenses that may come up, and travel for follow-up appointments.
That's where your generosity comes in. Any and every donation will help me in my recovery, both physically and mentally. If you would prefer to send physical items instead of a donation, I have an Amazon wishlist link below for some of the things I need. In the event that there are any donations leftover (i.e. if there is money donated that wasn't used up to support me during this period of time), I will donate the remaining funds to the Pay-It-Forward Fund , a program run by Venus Envy a local feminist business that helps trans/nonbinary/gender non-conforming people access gender-affirming products, such as binders and gaffs, for free.

My cat, Sage, thanks you in advance for the boxes! She will be overjoyed to have more cubes to sit in. :)
