After a routine mammogram in December 2022, we were surprised to hear that Alicia Merlady had 2 tumors in her left breast. Yes, she had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma stage 2. What? Her immediate response was one of shock and disbelief. “I, who exercise, dance, eat healthily, play with my dog, laugh, play beautiful music, clown around, have a delicious relationship, and love life... have cancer?”

Never being one who gives in to despair, Alicia immediately began to read everything she could find out about her condition. There is a surprising amount of information on natural treatments for cancer that are not invasive yet produce results at least as promising as surgery and drugs. Merlady listened carefully to her body and her strong intuition. She gathered a dedicated team around her that includes both a traditional medical surgeon and several alternative practitioners.
