Breast Cancer Fundraiser

My name is Nischal Chennuru and I am a 15 years old who goes to Columbus Academy in Ohio. When I was 9 years old, my grandmother passed away from breast cancer, an experience that I remember vividly. I remember seeing my grandma when she first got diagnosed and seeing her slowly progress through the stages of breast cancer, slowly getting worse. This opened my eyes to tragedy of cancer around me. In the following years after my grandma died, I saw many friends who ere going though the same thing with their parents or grandparents. This made me realize that there is a whole world of people out there that have loved ones who are dying because of a disease that we don't yet know how to cure. This inspired me to start a fundraiser because every dollar that is put into Breast Cancer Research is one step closer to finding the cure for cancer and one step closer to saving millions of lives. I did my first fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research in 2016 and raised $7,500. In 2017, I did another Breast Cancer fundraiser and raised $8,000. I donated this money to the James Cancer Research Center and it went towards Novel Therapies for Breast Camcer Research. I am doing this fundraiser so that I can continue to help fund Novel Therapies.
