Support for Julie Martinez's Cancer Treatment

Hi, I am Julie's mom, and my daughter needs our support. As you may know, Julie was recently diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer and underwent surgery. Julie developed a hematoma and had to return to the hospital for a second, emergency surgery. Julie also had surgery to have a chemo port placed in her chest. Due to the aggressive and invasive nature of this cancer, Julie will now have chemotherapy and immunotherapy for the next 9-12 months. The deductibles, co-insurances, and all the other things involved are costly. Julie is a single mom of two kids--ages 14 and 10--and so we are asking for help to get her through this already difficult time without the stress of financial worries.

Julie has dedicated herself to raising her two kids and giving back to the youth in her community as a Children's Librarian for the last 18 years. If you know Julie at all, you know it is hard for her to ask for and receive help. Julie is an incredible daughter, sister, friend, and mother and has touched so many lives. Her strength has been fueled with love and compassion from her friends and family during the hard times she has faced.

The funds raised will cover any remaining costs not covered by insurance for surgeries, chemotherapy treatments, and doctor's appointments.
