Hi everyone. My name is Angelica, most people call me Angel. I am a student and currently reside in Las Vegas, NV. Today is August 26th, I currently turned 23 years old. While a whole pandemic is still going on, I still wanted to try to celebrate my birthday the best way that I could. On the contrary, I discovered the the worst news I’ve ever heard regarding my mother. My mother’s name is Corazon Canlobo. On august 26 sometime in the morning, it was confirmed that my mother’s cancer is currently stage 2, and what doctors call it a, “high nuclear grade” which also means that the tumor cells are very aggressive and she would need to do all types of treatment. Chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, etc. My mom believes it is best to cut both her breasts off to permanently destroy all tumor cells in her body. After surgery, she will start chemo, that in which ultimately will cause all her hair to fall out. With this whole process going on, my mother has had to stop working. I currently have a job, but with this whole pandemic going on, it’s been really hard to make ends meet. I am starting this fundraiser to help with any medical expenses/bills that my mother may need. We don’t know how long this process is going to take as I have never experienced this before. If my mom can’t work, my brother and I will be the majority of ones to take care of her. As a child of my mother, seeing her go through this is something we did not expect. My mother maintains to be healthy, although her size is small, she’s strong, and independent. My mom raised my brother and I without a father and all I would like to do is be there for her every step of the way.
Any donations made, will of course go to my mother, Corazon Canlobo, to help her fight this cancer. Anything helps, and I would like to thank those who have taken the time to read this. For those who personally know me and know how much my mother means to me, please keep her in your prayers, thank you all.
