On June 16, 2021, I received a text from Jackie (Brown) Money. This text updated me that she had her first ever mammogram which showed a spot that needed further investigation. She had an ultrasound that found a cyst and a mass which then lead to a biopsy. On this day, June 16th, she told me it was Cancer. My friend of nearly 40 years has breast cancer. My heart hurts for her and her family.

The mass was removed, pathology done, and treatment plan ordered. Because her onca score is extremely high, her chances of the cancer coming back is also extremely high, which means treatment needs to be aggressive. AC-T regimen followed by radiation.

Every 2 weeks for 4 treatments of AC. Adriamycym and cyclophosphamide.

Then once a week for 12 weeks of Taxol.

Followed by 30 days of radiation.

Jackie is married to Travis Money. Travis works at the prison in Tipton, MO. He has been trying to work as much over time as he can to make ends meet. Jackie has been battling her insurance company to get disability pay as she is obviously not able to work during this time. She has currently gone 7 weeks without a paycheck. She is a mother of 4. Her oldest two do no live at home but she has 2 young daughters at home. With the extra hours Travis is putting in at work he is not able to help out with the home and the girls as much.

My dear friend is one of the strongest, smartest, and most stubborn people I know. She won't ask for help, and honestly I was scared to ask her for her permission to make this page. They need help. If you can help in anyway it would be great appreciated, prayers included.
