Breast Cancer Fight For Jen

Happy New Year’s everyone. I have learned so many people are battling this awful disease as we go through our 2nd round of Chemo. Jen battled it like a champ and her newest meds are making it easier on her tummy and not as bad to deal with as the first round. She does have the aggressive type so not great. We’ve had more hair loss so I helped her shave it down from a 1 to none. I hate cutting hair!

Our original thought was to donate her hair to cancer patients, etc but it actually costs money to do that from what we hear-that’s the craziest thing ever. We will take no part in that heist. It’s supposed to help and not take our $$$.

Anyhow, thx for all your donations. They mean the world to us! They really do. People are so kind and I can’t say that enough. We have seen donations even from friends who are battling this same cancer and I am truly amazed. You don’t have to-but know we love and send you prayers; too.

Totally. Just actually speechless and if you know me that is rare. People are sooooo kind. Hearts are pure. Don’t believe all the bad stuff you hear-the world is mostly good and almost angelic. You just have to look for it. Even if you don’t see it at first it’s there. People are inherently good.

Second round of chemo starts Thursday. First round was a doozie for her. She battled like a boss. We are ready and ultra positive about round 2 and getting that cancer out of her system. Thanks for all the donations before and all the cards you guys have sent. It means the world to us! People are so caring.

Luv yall and don’t hesitate to call and check in with her. She loves the attention(I never said that!! Wink wink) but honestly we do love ya’ll just thinking and sending kind thoughts and prayers: we are amazed by everyone’s love and kindness. Know that to be true and one of the most amazing things to come of this horrific disease!

11/26 Update-Jen’s hair is shaved as of Thanksgiving day and wearing some cute ole hats! She begins chemo next! If you get a chance send her a note for support. I can’t thank you all enough for the help financially and support already. Cards and flowers have also been truly amazing. Praying for our other close friends also battling this. Thx again to everyone. We are blessed with amazing friends. Will try to update everyone on our progress and hopefully when we beat this!

We are hoping to raise money for Jenny Goodman. In the summer, Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is an amazing mother to two boys, Cameron and Jacob, and a wonderful wife to her husband Chris. She has fought without saying a word for four or five months. She has endured a double m and reconstruction without pause and still kept up her amazing work as a mom without any complaints. Now we are expecting chemo around Thanksgiving that will last until well past the new year (2024). Jen plans to shave her head as a pre-emptive strike soon. She will look just as beautiful as she does now. Medical bills are in excess of 350k but will be substantially less with insurance but still tough to handle. If you have it in your heart to donate please do, if you don't have funds we totally get it(been there) and words of love, prayers and encouragement are sometimes just as wonderful on facebook... She is extremely proud and fought hard to go against us doing a go fund me but we are in the stage now where it might be difficult to proceed or meet general and medical bills without such help. We know others are also battling this courageous fight and we want to say cancer is awful and we hope we find an end to this dreadful disease. We don't expect to meet our goals but anything might possibly help. We appreciate any help and any kind words and we also hope those with cancer battling this fight(and other such fights) have much love and help and also sending prayers for you, too. We know we are not ALONE and very thankful already for such kind words and prayers. That means the world.
