I am a close family friend who is setting up this fundraiser for my dear friend. Tashia Morris is a single mother of 3, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately, this is not the first time she has endured hardship. One of Tashia’s twin daughters, Azariaha (Ria), has severe CP, is wheelchair bound, and needs total care for all her needs. Tashia has made tremendous sacrifices as she has cared for Ria for 20 years, while working in a community health career assisting others. Currently, Tashia must lift Ria in and out of her wheelchair since the hoyer lift she has doesn’t fit in her home to do transfers safely. After surgery and radiation, this will be impossible for her to continue. Ria needs a smaller lift that the state can’t provide and Tashia’s mounting medical bills are overwhelming—even with insurance. This beautiful lady has spent her whole life caring for others and though she would never ask for it—she needs our help. Let’s surround her with love and support as she relies on her faith and friends to walk the path ahead of her.
