Help For Brea's Brain Surgery

Update:
Brea's surgery went well. They were not able to remove all of the tumor. She was in the hospital for 6 days, and is now home. She mainly sleeps most of the time. She is starting physical therapy this week, and will require three visits a week, with Me working with her daily at home. She still has numbness and weakness on the right side, as well as a large blind spot in her right eye. Her vision in total is still very blurry. She starts with the Neuro Oncologist June 7th, and Radiation Oncology June 13th, both of these doctors require travel to Charleston as they are the only doctors in the state that can treat Thalamic Tumors. We have a long road to go, but are getting there one baby step at a time.

My daughter’s name is Brea Wilson and she is kind, loving, funny and loves Nightmare before Christmas, in fact her wedding was so themed.

On her wedding day- Brea had a horrible migraine, as she does most every day of her life. As my sweet, smart beautiful daughter has a mass growing in her brain. She is losing control of her arms and legs. She suffers daily from headaches, blurred vision, and nausea.

This all comes after she has undergone so much at such a young age. She has had surgeries, a stroke -which caused her to lose her 6-figure job and so much of what she dreamed for the future. She did not work long enough to qualify for disability, and her husband makes just a few hundred dollars too much for SSI. She can no longer have children, she cannot work and her brilliant mind is simply not the same as pre stroke.

As I type this, I have tears rolling down my face, as I write down how much she has bravely endured- it makes it so much more real. I truly have never asked for help from others, I am a fighter and a survivor. Yet, here I am!

My Brea is having brain surgery mid-May at MUSC Charleston, the cost of travel, hotel, and gas is simply more than our family can afford at this time.

If you could find it in your heart to donate to help us pay for food, gas, hotel, I will be so grateful!! Any amount at all will help! If you cannot afford to donate any money, please pray that the brain surgery is successful!

In Humble gratitude,

Cynthia
