Hello friends, students, and family. My name is Samantha Ju Kim and I am a co-owner of Breakthrough Academy, and for the past 12+ years Breakthrough Academy, myself, my family and our amazing teachers have been a part of the academic community helping to BREAKTHROUGH various academic barriers as well as promote learning in our community. We are a small private business located in Montrose, California. We hope we have inspired many of our students to strive for higher learning as well as encouraged individuals to do more not only for themselves but their communities as well.
I am truly devoted to supporting my students and their families in any way possible. Sadly, during this difficult time for our nation, as we fight to beat the Covid-19 virus Breakthrough may not be able keep our doors open and provide necessary services if we do not receive help from our community. As I know this is a difficult time for everyone, I hope that together we can get through this.
We need your help to continue serving our students and community. As of Friday, March 20th we have stopped all lessons. We are only providing 1 on 1 lessons online. The safety of our students, our teachers, and their families is our top priority. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide services for our students until it is safe for everyone.
In order for Breakthrough Academy to stay in business we are asking for donations to cover rent on our facility, various utility bills( electricity, phone, internet, and water) and teachers' paychecks until we can reopen our doors. All donations will solely be used to keep Breakthrough operational and give our students and staff time off until it is safe for all of our students and staff to return.
