The Acid Mantle Productions, founded by Malia in 2016, is a women-owned booking, management, marketing and media agency dedicated to supporting musicians, artists, and creatives throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
-- After years of managing social media, networking, producing music videos, orchestrating tours, self-educating and building a vibrant community, the agency has finally secured a brick-and-mortar space in Seattle that will serve as the heart of the agency. This space is more than just an office—it’s a home; A hub for touring bands, a creative sanctuary for clients, as well as a vital resource for Big Feelings NPO, the nonprofit they help run.
Ceya joined the team this year, bringing new energy and support to the vision. This space marks not only the beginning of a new chapter for Ceya after a long journey of instability and houselessness, but a tangible step forward in the career and vision she’s been steadily building and curating. The journey to get here has been deeply personal for both of them, and the mutual benefit of this project reflects collective decades of hard work, vision, and community care.
The urgency of this project is very clear. Between the presence of mold in the new space, Malia’s ongoing health issues, and time being of the essence, it means that immediate remediation and renovation are essential.
*Our estimates have put us at about $12,000 total for quality repairs. Our financial goal will automate as we reach certain milestones. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing sheetrock, insulation, paint, windows, flooring, air purifiers, cleaning supplies, protective wear, and essential appliances like a refrigerator, water purifier, and a shower surround.
Malia and Ceya will be taking on the demolition work themselves to stay cost minimal and are determined to create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through their doors.
**While federal funds are being applied for to support long-term small business sustainability, the immediate need for mold mitigation has created an urgent call for community support.**
From the two of them:
“We both express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown up for us—who believed in our work, supported us as individuals, and trusted in our dreams. Thank you for having faith in our vision, our hustle. Thank you for believing in our insane dream to build something that we’re so close to achieving and will intentionally contribute to uplifting others, too. Every contribution helps turn that dream into a safer, stronger, and more creative reality. Thank you!! <3”
