Help Break Barriers to Education

Dear Friends of Omagano Foundation,
I will get straight to the point.
First, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your continued financial support to Omagano Foundation, now Laban Shapange Foundation Omagano. Even when times were extremely hard, you sacrificed and helped the foundation accomplish work that has significantly improved the living conditions of school going children in Epato village, Namibia. You all have inspired me to continue this important work aimed at breaking barriers to education in my home village. For this year’s Break Barriers to Education campaign, the foundation aims to:
1. Provide lunch to students for the month of January in honor of my late uncle Laban Shapange, who was the education Director in the Omusati region, where Epato is located; and who emphasized the importance of feeding children a proper diet three times a day to enable students to properly function and succeed in school.
2. Assist with the school development plan as outlined below (the plan was shared with me by the school Principal, Mr. Tauno Nakasole, and the school board at Epato Combined school).
· To provide each student in grades 0-3 (25 total), with stationery such as pencils, note books, and backpacks and to provide them with school uniforms (dresses for girls, slacks and shirts for the boys, socks, and shoes).
· To develop support and care for orphans and vulnerable children by providing meals and care packages and transportation fare for monthly Doctor’s visits.
No amount is too small to make a difference and improve a child’s living condition.
Thank you so much for you support. I can’t do this work without your support.
Happy Holidays!
