Breaking Barriers: Stroke Survivor, First-Gen, Future Doctor
Donation protected
As a first-generation medical student from a low-income family, I have faced and overcome challenges that have shaped my resilience, empathy, and determination to serve others through medicine. I am independently funding my entire doctoral education—an uphill battle that I’ve taken on with the hope of proving that doctors from humble beginnings deserve a rightful place in the medical field.
As a pediatric stroke survivor, I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of compassionate care and the harsh realities of navigating a world that often underestimates the disabled. My journey is not just about becoming a physician—it's about redefining who belongs in medicine.
I am committed to showing that disabled doctors are just as capable, driven, and impactful as their able-bodied peers. If you believe in a more inclusive and diverse future in healthcare, I humbly ask for your support. Every donation goes directly toward my continued success in medical school and brings me one step closer to changing the world of medicine for the better.
