I'm Sharnette a Registered Nurse in NY. I'm reaching out because I'm in a really tough spot right now. Yesterday, the father of my child attacked me twice. On top of that, I'm currently on workers' comp due to a work-related injury back injury, which means my resources are super limited.

Right now, my kids and I have placement in a domestic violence shelter for temporary safety, but we need to find a permanent, safe place to live. I've filed a temporary restraining order and he's been arrested, but he's threatened that if the cops get involved, this will never end because I'm dealing with a maniac, and I need to protect my family.
