However on the 12th December, only 13 days before Christmas our wonderful school was been broken into by what only can be described as scumbags. We are uncertain of the extent of the theft but know for certain that all the raffle money the families of the school have been raising for the coming year, has sadly been stolen. The school works terribly hard to self fund money for events and educational material and it is awful that someone had targeted our school which will ultimately effect our children.
A break-in is sad at any time of year, but at Christmas , when everyone is excited for the nativity plays and festive fun, for the school to have the burden of repairs, stolen funding and uncertainty is just dreadful.
It is not the children's fault that someone was selfish, thoughtless and destructive, so lets not make them suffer because of it!
I am hopeful that the people of Chorley, school parents and extended family are able to band together and raise some money to make a little Christmas miracle happen for St Gregory's Primary School to assure that the children have everything they need for the forthcoming year.
Dig deep and Thank you!
