This GoFundMe is for our sweet friends, neighbors and local farmers Gabe and Marylee Reaume. On May 20th Marylee had a tragic fall down her front stairs resulting in several bad breaks to her left leg, including a compound fracture of her tibia that came through the front of her shin. This is an injury that has made her bed/chair bound. Two weeks prior to her accident her husband Gabe tore ligaments in three of his fingers and is still not healed at 5 weeks out. The hand specialist has recommended surgery; however, at this time he is unable to due to Marylee’s condition. Although Marylee has been fortunate enough to not have to be housed at a rehabilitation facility, she is suffering through a lot of pain, has to have a lot of physical therapy and has lost the ability to work as a hair stylist or farmer.

Most recently blood clots have been discovered around the surgical sites in her shin, further complicating the healing process. In conjunction with fundraising to help Gabe and Marylee with medical expenses, we will post recovery updates here. Whether you can donate financially or not, Gabe and Marylee are grateful for their community of family and friends that have already surrounded them with love and help. Family, whether chosen or blood, is what gets us all through the tough times. We hope to lift up Gabe and Marylee as they both journey through this tough time and build a bridge of love and support for them throughout.
