I am Reem, a teacher who lost her classroom to war. Today, I am teaching the hardest lesson of all: survival.

My family of 9 souls is struggling to find bread. We have no home, no income, and no safety.

The tragedy struck our home directly when my little brother, Muhammad, was severely injured. He suffered agonizing burns during the war, wounds that no child should ever have to endure. Seeing him in such pain, knowing he needs specialized care and a safe environment to heal, is a burden I cannot carry alone.

And my baby girl Raghad, born into this war, has never known a full stomach or a new colorful dress!

But the hardship doesn't stop there. We are also caring for my 80-year-old grandmother, who is bravely battling cancer. In the middle of a conflict, without proper medicine, nutrition, or a roof over our heads, her fight is becoming harder every day.

I never imagined I would be the one asking for help just to keep my family alive. We have lost our home, our livelihoods, and our sense of security. Now, we are simply trying to survive.
