BRE DANCE STUDIO’S FUNDRAISER TO REBUILD IN THE COMMUNITY.
Fundraising Goal: $21,000
This fundraiser is personal, created by Clifford Breland, to keep Bre's vision alive, building in the community. Clifford Breland founded Bre Dance Studio in September 1988 to bring diversity in dance to the Greater Inland Empire. Bre Dance Studio’s philosophy is “Dance is a universal discipline and a spiritual pathway to self-discovery.” Bre’s philosophy is a testament to Clifford’s Southern and deeply spiritual upbringing.
Bre Dance Studio, a nationally acclaimed dance studio, has been serving the Greater Inland Empire for over 35 years. Bre Dance Studio develops dancers by building self-esteem, instilling discipline, developing character, all through the techniques, artistry of dance.
Bre’s dancers have performed at California Baptist University, Riverside Festival of Lights, the Annual Black History Expo & Parade, UCR Presents Series, Riverside Got Talent, Riverside Juneteenth Celebration, Riverside Exchange Club Talent Search, RCC Dance for Life Concert and UCR Dance Under Reconstruction, to name a few.
Through education and community outreach, Bre Dance Studio has done presentations, performances, dance master classes, workshops for Edgemont Elementary School, Lincoln High School, North High School, Jurupa Middle School, UCR’s Japanese Exchange Students, Inglewood High School, The Center for Early Education, to name a few.
Beyond the community, Bre Dance Studio’s dancers have received scholarships and awards from The Joffrey School of Ballet, The Alvin Ailey School of Dance, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the NAACP ACT-SO Competition, The Music Center Spotlight Awards, PBS Emerging Artist and the Herb Alpert Artist Competition.
Professionally, in the performing industry, Artistic Director Clifford Breland has worked with the well-renowned ballerina Misty Copeland. Bre Dance Studio has produced dancers that have performed with artists such as Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Will Smith, Ciara, Missy Elliott, to name a few.
Clifford Breland is profoundly proud of Bre Dance Studio’s first enrolled student at 10 years of age, Eboni Nichols. With fervor, discipline, and commitment, Eboni Nichols trained in dance with teachers Clifford Breland, Denise Ji-Ahnte, Sherri Skyles, and the late One Arm Bandit, leading Eboni Nichols to receive a full dance scholarship to Chapman University. After receiving a B.A. Degree in Dance, Eboni Nichols became a Los Angeles Laker Girl, launching Eboni Nichols' career into the commercial industry. I am so proud to say that Eboni Nichols is now a performance producer and choreographer for the Kennedy Center Honors, the Oscars, and Jamie Foxx’s “What Had Happened Was” Netflix Special.
To the present day, God continues to bless Bre Dance Studio in spite of life’s challenges. Withstanding a global pandemic and yet continuing to serve our community. Joyfully, Bre Dance Studio is reaching out to you for your help to continue these good life-altering deeds.
Bre Dance Studio used to be able to provide scholarships to students facing financial hardship. Your donation will be used to provide those scholarships again. Your donation will help Bre Dance Studio to continue to provide community services to the Greater Inland Empire. Also, your donation will be used to renovate Bre Dance Studio’s dance and office space.
Thank you for your precious time. No amount is too small!
Respectfully Yours,
Clifford Breland,
