Hello all! I’m heading back to Tanzania!!! This time not for a(my) wedding, or a safari, or to see my awesome family, but for my first ever surgical mission with Operation International! I am very grateful I have this opportunity to do this in my wife’s home country! After all I have been blessed with in my life, this is one way I want to give back to the world. We will be going to the Katavi region of Tanzania to provide necessary surgical treatment to a very low resourceful population of people. We will not only give these individuals the surgery they need, but also teach and assist the local medical community in basic surgical skills. My main job will be to deliver anesthesia during these surgeries as well as teach local medical staff anesthetic management and skills so they can continue providing care once our organization leaves.

Operation International is a not for profit organization created to provide free medical care to individuals in poor countries. The organization main focus is providing long lasting changes by educating the local healthcare providers and donating equipment needed to sustain better medical practice.
