Hello, my name is Whitley Willis… As some of you may heard, my son Braylen Willis was involved in a tragic accident that left him shot in the chest this recent Sunday. As we all know times are hard for everybody right now and tragedies like this always seem to happen at the worst moments in life when you are already struggling. I am a single mother of five children, and I refuse to leave my son’s side while he is in the hospital. He is 15 years old and I would be devastated if something happened while I was gone. They claimed it was non-life-threatening at the beginning but as he got to the hospital things went downhill and he has to stay here at least for another week, I do not feel comfortable leaving his side. I have other kids to take care of but due to me not leaving his bed side and unfortunately I am missing work every day this week to be by his side in case another unexpected turn comes with major surgery that he just had. There will be more bills to pay since he has to stay there the rest of the week with a tube in his chest to make sure we have no more complications and he has to be monitored around the clock. Bills will continue to add up along with my home to keep my kids stable during the rough time. His siblings rely on him and I since he’s my oldest child and it’s hard to be strong when you’re constantly worried about being able to get your child the proper health care he needs and for it to be somewhat cured for him to come home along with making sure we have a home to remain at when he comes home until I can catch up From missing a lot of work due to the incident. Anything is appreciated of course; even if it’s just prayers. Of course no one ever wants to have to make a GoFund me account or ask for hand outs, nothing is expected, so please keep judgements to yourselves. Everything is truly appreciated.
